Anthem Blue Cross EmployeeElect
Finally! a REAL solution for Nevada's small employer (2-50) employees!  This innovative new Group Health Plan give you the ability to install one group insurance policy that allows your employees to choose between 12 different Nevada Group Health Insurance plans.

This may not sound like that big of a deal - but it is!  In the past, the employer, at a minimum, contributes 50% of the employee only premium.  With premiums now getting near $300 per employee, not only are the Nevada employers shelling out more for group health insurance, but so are the employees.

For a lot of companies, getting employees to participate in the group health plan is extremely difficult.  Using the above rate example of $300 per employee, both the employee and the employer are paying $150 per month for the health insurance.  Because these rates are high, we have found the younger healthier employees waive out due to cost.  A lot of times, these waivers exceed the allowable percentage and cause a Nevada Group Health Plan to not meet participation requirements.  FACT - Group Health Plans need the younger healthier individuals to offset the older individuals who may have health conditions! This keeps rate increases reasonable during the annual open enrollment!

The Solution IS Anthem Blue Cross's EmployeeElect

1)  Rather than paying a traditional "percentage" toward the employees premium, Anthem Blue Cross allows the employer to set a "defined contribution".  This defined contribution can be as low as $125 per employee.

2)  The employee then uses the defined contribution to choose between 12 different health plans.  These plans include the following:

8 Traditional PPO Plans
5

Consumer Driven Options

(incl. 3 HSA Plans)

2

Traditional HMO Plans
